If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know quite a few things about me. Thanks for sticking with me! :) But if you're a new reader (welcome!), you will come to find that my life is a bit chaotic and sometimes it's hard to find balance with work, school, and free time! So I wanted to create this page and share some information with y'all, and maybe my blog will make more sense to you.
My name is Iira, and I was born and raised not that far away from the Arctic Circle. Sounds cool, when I put it like that. If I had just said Finland, it would not have been nearly as cool. Trust me.
I am 25 years old and ever since I was 10, I've known what I want to be when I grow up. A writer. Naturally, there were other trades I was into as well in the past 15 years, but writing is the one thing that has stuck with me through everything. I'm kinda shy, so I guess writing is also a way for me to say things and put them out there in the Universe… A perfect way for me to express myself. I am currently working on my first novel. I am glad to share any progress I make, but am very particular about details, so please don't ask me what my novel is about; at this point no one knows except for me ;)
My other passion in life is traveling. I have been traveling my entire life and basically it's where all my extra money goes. Within the last five and a half years I've been to the States seven times, both working and vacationing, and America has become a second home for me. Not officially, but it's where my heart is. I do wish to see more of my own continent as well, and am positive that will happen in the midst of traveling overseas.
Other than writing and traveling, I love to spend time with my family and friends, and visiting my own little worlds. It's OK, though… they know me there.
